A bit about me…

Born in Sri Lanka, raised in Australia, living in Melbourne.
In 1991, at university, I was saved out of Buddhism by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Worked in the corporate sector for many years and volunteered in various church ministries. In 2022, God called my husband to become a Pastor. Find out more about our church here https://altonachurch.org/
Why this blog?
Having spent far too long in churches that either taught error or taught very poorly, I unfortunately denied myself the opportunity to grow and mature spiritually. Upon finally leaving these environments, I searched for resources to help me read and study the Bible properly. A steady diet of expository preaching, solid teaching and a good church enabled me to unlearn many errors in order to re-align with the truth of God’s Word. Hence the name of this blog “Align With the Word”. Much later in life I undertook some theological study to complement my ever increasing desire to learn.
I’m sure there are many Christian ladies out there in similar situations…so this site is here for you! AWTW is a resource for Christian women who genuinely want to ‘learn and discern’ truth from error, and to know whether what you are being taught ‘Aligns With The Word’ of God.
